We know you may not be motivated to go to the gym
The gym doesn’t appeal to everyone, which is totally ok. Yet you may feel like you’re missing out and really want to work on your body’s strength, endurance and wellbeing.
That’s where we can help. We’ve spent the last 15 years working within the physiotherapy and Pilates field, helping people move and exercise in the environment they prefer. Some enjoy the gym but a lot prefer home exercises.
In our opinion, home exercises can either be split into a workout session or shorter sessions simply focusing on 1-2 main exercises. These all help to improve body awareness, coordination, balance and in turn, wellbeing.

Our Process is Different
During the class, you’ll get verbal instructions for setting the exercise. You’ll also get a visual demonstration at the same time and during the exercise, which you can refer to.
Your instructions will include which area of the body you’re targeting with the exercise, so you can scan your body and check.
There’s also feedback from participants of the class, who may ask for clarification or comment on the exercise, which can help you with any corrections that need to be made.
If you’d like to join us for the live classes then choose the “virtual membership” option, using the “Book Pilates” button at the top of this page.
Always work to what your body’s telling you. If you’ve got any apprehension on a certain movement or exercise then stop rather than pushing yourself too much.
We’d encourage you to work on quality not quantity and it’s much better to take an exercise slowly so you can really get to grips with it, rather than trying to do as many repetitions as you can.
If you do get any pain, book an online physio appointment using the “Book Physio” button at the top of the page. You’ll get advice on what you can/can’t do and steps needed to resolve any issues.
You’ll find over time that there are many variations to exercises, with no one-way being better than the other. People move and have grown differently, with longer or shorter arms and legs, so will have different ways to complete the exercise.
If you feel something isn’t right, as we’ve said above, stop and seek help to get specific advice to your own situation.
You don’t need any equipment at home, you can even substitute the Pilates mat for a towel if necessary.
You’ll see class descriptions explaining what equipment is needed for the class, if any, along with the exercises covered. Choose the classes where you don’t need any equipment.
Over time, you may find it beneficial to buy some of the small equipment used as it can create many variations of the exercises and can make the workout easier or harder.
We’re fans of the therabands as they’re so versatile and can be used for both the upper and lower body exercises. Check out our Resource page for the equipment we’d suggest if you’re interested in finding out more.
That’s ok as a lot of the exercises we do are in standing, which doesn’t require that much space.
The floor exercises are great to build the foundations for the body and muscles. However, standing exercises are very functional for the majority of people and so are really beneficial in many ways. You may find the standing exercises challenging initially, if you haven’t done many of the floor exercises, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work on them.
We run a walking/running specific class, where we do a lot in standing and also have shorter classes which are solely in standing, so you’ve got different options to try out.
The way to find out is to try the online classes and see what you think.
Set yourself a goal or deadline to try the classes and review at the end. 4-6 weeks is a great time frame to use. Make that commitment to yourself that you’ll set aside time for yourself to work through the classes.
There’s no lock-in contract and you can cancel when you wish.
If you’d like to contact us to discuss, we’d be happy to help.
